The WT | Wearable Technologies Innovation World Cup crowned the six most innovative wearable companies

Winner WT BannerThe world champions in wearables were announced at the WT | Wearable Technologies Conference EUROPE 2016 in Munich.

Munich, 27 January It was an innovation wildfire at the WT | Wearable Technologies Conference in Munich: One groundbreaking wearable product after another was presented live on stage by the 28 finalists of the WT | Wearable Technologies Innovation World Cup – coming from all over the world and being selected out of more than 450 submissions. But only six wearable world champions and the WT Innovator of the Year 2016 made the race in the categories “Sports & Fitness”, “Healthcare & Wellness”, “Safety & Security”, “Gaming & Lifestyle” and in the two special prizes “Smart Clothing” as well as “Smart Jewelry”.

The following 28 companies were nominated to become one of the WT world champions of the Year 2016 (in alphabetical order): Antelope Club (Germany), Ashley Chloe (USA), Avanto (Finland), Cardio First Angel (Germany), Cityzen Sciences (France), Cloud DX (Canada), Connect-In (UK), ElektroCouture (Germany), Force Impact Technologies (USA), Gait Up (Switzerland), Health Care Originals (USA), Hykso (Canada), i-Lume (Hong Kong), Kinematix (Portugal), Kingii Technology (USA), Kokoon Technology (UK), Leaf Healthcare (USA), LIBER8 Technology (Hungary), Pins Collective (Sweden), RippleBuds (USA), ROAR for Good (USA), SKUGGA Dynamic Eyewear (Sweden), Tinitell (Sweden), VivoSensMedical (Germany), World Global Network (USA) and Zeev Zalevsky (Israel). The champion in Healthcare & Wellness and WT Innovator of the Year 2016 is ADAMM by Health Care Originals (USA):

The champion in Safety & Security is i-Lume by i-Lume (Hong Kong):

The champion in Gaming & Lifestyle is Kokoon by Kokoon Technology (UK):

The sleep sensing headphones monitor the sleep and can be connected to a smartphone. Via Bluetooth the mobile app delivers audio techniques to the headphones to induce sleep, monitor the effectiveness and alter the audio to preserve the sleep. They can serve as an “every-day” headphones too.

The champion in Smart Clothing is Antelope Series by Antelope Club (Germany):

Antelope Series is a performance increasing sportswear, which is based on the electro muscle stimulation (EMS) technology. The muscle contraction will be strengthened from the outside trough electrical impulse for a more intense and effective workout.

The champion in Smart Jewelry is Tago Arc by LIBER8 Technology (Hungary):

The high fashion bracelet is the world´s first smart jewelry that works without a battery. The E Ink display with NFC technology allows users to change the pattern and display design with their smartphone and it does not need to be charged.

Techpreneurs and their winning solutions are now part of the official Hall of Fame of the WT | Wearable Technologies Innovation World Cup.
